Aamna Aqeel - Fashion Pakistan Week 6 - Spring 2014

Aamna Aqeel's FPW collection was a surprisingly uncertain mish-mash of various styles. After last year's strong debut it was disappointing to see this talented designer put up such a confused and mediocre show. That said, there were several beautiful pieces that showed the brilliance that Aqeel is capable of.

Deepak Perwani - Fashion Pakistan Week 6 - Spring 2014

Deepak Perwani's Fashion Pakistan Week collection was a world away from his last season's Frieda collection. While Frieda was a flamboyant celebration of an artistic concept, this time Perwani showed a sophisticated, luxe resort collection. Predominantly western with some fusion pieces, the collection proved once again that Perwani cuts western wear brilliantly. From gowns to cropped harem pants, Perwani showed variety and expertise with this chic, deceptively simple collection.

Fashion Pakistan Week 6 - Nida Azwer - Spring 2014 - Arabesque collection

Nida Azwer's Arabesque collection was a symphony in white, with accents of gold and silver. Featuring classic cuts with a modern twist, Nida's collection was a fashion-forward yet firmly eastern collection. With gorgeous, versatile separates, Nida's crisp summery collection is set to find its way into the most fashionable wardrobes.

HSY FPW 6 Fashion Pakistan Week 2014 - Hassan Sheheryar Yasin Venom colle

HSY's Venom collection was based on the concept a snake rejuvenating itself by shedding it's skin. With a palette of taupe and black accented with a bright vermillion red, the collection used uber-trendy chevron stripes to great effect. With long sexy silhouettes and subtle black bead embroidery, the collection made a strong statement.

HSY celebrates 20 years in the Pakistani Fashion industry

 HSY - Hassan Sheheryar Yasin
Hassan Sheheryar Yasin aka HSY

He’s the guy who’ll walk down the catwalk with his own face plastered all over his jacket. He always seems larger than life, theatrical and even egotistical, but Hassan Shehryar Yasin is very different from what you would expect from a self-styled “Couture King”.
